The Camy 5K Run is named after Camilio "Camy" Clerici, who passed away in November 2000 at the age of 86. Husband of Rosina Clerici, father of Frank Clerici Sr., father-in-law of Carol Hunt-Clerici, and grandfather of David Clerici, he was a longtime member of the Walpole Italian-American Society.
The David 5K Walk is named after David Clerici, who passed away in February 2000 at the age of 38. Middle son of Frank Clerici Sr. & Carol Hunt-Clerici, and a grandson of Camilio "Camy" Clerici & Rosina Clerici, he was a member of the Walpole Italian-American Society and a volunteer at many benefit fundraisers.
The free 50-yard Rosina Fun Run for kids 11 & under is named after Rosina Clerici, who passed away in February 2006 at the age of 89. Wife of Camilio "Camy" Clerici, mother of Frank Clerici Sr., mother-in-law of Carol Hunt-Clerici, and grandmother of David Clerici, she started it all as the first official event starter when she signaled the start of the inaugural race on November 10, 2001.
The Frank Clerici Sr. Award - for the first male finisher in the David 5K Walk - is named after Frank Clerici Sr., who passed away in May 2016 at the age of 81. Husband of Carol Hunt-Clerici, father of middle son David Clerici, and son of Camilio "Camy" Clerici & Rosina Clerici, he was an officer of the Walpole Italian-American Society and a committee member of the race.
The Carol Hunt-Clerici Award - for the first female finisher in the David 5K Walk - is named after Carol Hunt-Clerici, who passed away in January 2018 at the age of 79. Wife of Frank Clerici Sr., mother of middle son David Clerici, and daughter-in-law of Camilio "Camy" Clerici & Rosina Clerici, she was the treasurer, volunteer coordinator, and a committee member of the race.
In 2018, the Carol Hunt-Clerici Chamber Music Series was created in her memory by close family friend and violin prodigy Guiomar “Gigi” Turgeon (Boston Baroque, Handel & Haydn Society) and cousin and educator Barbara Lee.
It is designed to raise funds, awareness, and bring classical music to the suburbs via a variety of musicians performing themed concerts by such classical composers as Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Georges Bizet, Luigi Boccherini, Alexander Borodin, Johannes Brahms, Antonin Dvorak, Zdenek Fibich, George Frideric Handel, Joseph Haydn, Franz Liszt, Felix Mendelssohn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Astor Piazzolla, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Bedrich Smetana, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Georg Philipp Telemann.
